First birthday is always the most special one as it marks your child's first year of existence in the earth. Every one of us wants to make the first birthday party of our kids a marvelous affair to remember.

We begin the entire celebration with planning. And in planning, it really needs a lot of time and preparation. A lot of money and energy will then be present of course.

1. Budget - The first step that you are going to take is to know the budget. No matter what you say, you always need to have the working budget clear from the start. May it be good for only 30 heads or as many as 300 persons invited, still, the budget is the most important aside from anything else.

2. Choosing a theme - Nowadays, a kiddie party will not be complete and will not be as beautiful as many would expect it to be if it is not going to be a theme party. choosing a theme is actually the most easiest and exciting part of the preparation since it exercises our minds and imaginations.

3. Choosing a venue - It is also one of the most important factors that you have to consider in a party. It is where you are going to hold the event proper. You have to take in to consideration the size of the venue depending on the number of invited guest. You can have it in a clubhouse, in a park, in a hall, or even in a pool. But bear in mind that if you are going to hold it in a pool, the safety precautions should always abide. Check it also if the pool is being protected by winterizing kit most especially if you are going to celebrate it during or before winter season. It is better if you can see that the pool is being covered by a swimming pool winter cover so you would know that it is really preserved and well taken cared of. If you have a wider backyard or space at home, you can just simply have it there. Aside from saving the money, it is more convenient to use.

4. Preparation of fun and unique invitations - These are important because it gives your guest an idea on how the party will be like. It will give them a glimpse of what's in-store for them.

5. Think of a caterer - Parents should always be particular to the food that will be served on the day of the event. Food tasting is a must.

6. Well-designed cakes - This is one of the most important thing to have during birthdays. Prior to the traditional balloons and ice creams, cake should always be present. Sometimes, you want it to be personalized, so you will look for a design that will best fit the theme or something that the celebrant will appreciate most.

7. Balloons - These will add magic to the venue. No one is really too old to appreciate them. Balloons come from different colors, shapes, and styles to make the celebration more enchanting.

8. Tarpaulin or Backdrop - Preparation of the tarpaulin can always be as creative as you wanted it to be. Oftentimes, a collage pictures of your baby can take the center stage already.

9. Centerpieces - These are an option to consider than putting the traditional fresh flowers free from your caterer. You can actually upgrade to mylars or lollipop balloons to make the venue more attractive.

10. Photo and video - Definitely, you can't have any moment pass you by without capturing the highlights. Photo and video will also serve as a souvenir after the event is finally done.
